There is nothing so beautiful than witnessing your children start each homeschool day on time and independently go through their lessons with perfect execution.
When I first started constructing our children's grade notebooks, I had no idea how I was empowering our children to take ownership of their education. I truly believed I was simply creating lesson plans for each of my children.
Imagine my surprise when our children started their daily assignments with eager attention and willing application, as early as 6:30 am, while I was sleeping, all because they knew exactly what to do, for how long, and in what order.
The Grade Notebook™ naturally forms the habits of responsibility, accountability, self-management, and self-direction in children because it empowers them to take ownership of their education.

The Grade Notebook™ naturally forms the habits of responsibility, accountability, self-management, and self-direction in children because it empowers them to take ownership of their education.
In a homeschool full of constant interruptions, multiple children, and several dependent learners, homeschooled children lack the skills and habits necessary to move on to the next thing without the constant teaching, management, and direction of the mother.
The reality is that lessons plans on their own are tools for homeschool moms to know what needs to be taught, managed, and directed based on the day and time.
Children aren't capable to take these type of teacher's lesson plans and move to the next thing without a tool that empowers them to take ownership of their own education.
This is why homeschool mothers grow weary when teaching multiple children, especially when these children are dependent learners.
One homeschool mother that is responsible for teaching multiple children with multiple lesson plans easily leads to unproductive days that sadly becomes non-productive years.
This endless cycle of non-productive years results in children not showing progress in their education, causing moms to experience sleepless nights and stressful days when annual testing rolls around.
Without any idea of what to do differently, a homeschool mother feels the weight of her children's education on her shoulder. Overtime, this weight will results in her losing her joy in homeschool ... and oftentimes, in motherhood.
I'm speaking from personal experience. That's why I became a student of Charlotte Mason's original writing and diligently worked to create a planning system that puts the ownership of lessons in the hands of a child, once they know how to read.
The best part of this planning system is that a non-reader naturally becomes interested in taking ownership long before they can read from just watching their mother using it during lessons.
The Grade Notebook™ is this planning system that our family has tried, tested, and perfected since 2002, from Kindergarten through High School to execute our Charlotte Mason plans that resulted in raising motivated learners.
Year after year, I found that the Grade Notebook™ not only turned our plans into annual portfolios, but it naturally formed the habits of responsibility, accountability, self-management, and self-directing.
Now, you can use our planning system that quickly and easily empowers a child to take ownership of their education, once they know how to read.
The Grade Notebook™ have been designed to go from teaching, managing, and directing multiple children to raising motivated learners that empowers a child to take ownership of their own education.
It's a perfect fit for those who are ...
Organizing homeschool plans in a step-by-step binder has been PROVEN to empower a child to take ownership of their lessons by clearly laying out what is expected of them during their lesson time.
Evaluating and organizing completed work will form accountability to do their best and go the right way in their lessons all year long, while effortlessly turning homeschool plans into annual portfolios.
Supplying a simple system that even young readers can easily follow motivates them to start their lessons, while giving their full attention, so that can finish their assignments on time each day.

Design #1: The Thinker
Charlotte Mason said that there are TWO types of people: Readers and thinkers, and those that are not.
Thoughts teach a person to reason and directs the verdicts of the conscience.
With this knowledge, The Thinker has this quote on its cover:
"Self-education is the only possible education; the rest is mere veneer laid on the surface of a child's nature." Charlotte Mason
Design #2: The Tracker
Charlotte Mason strongly believed in the benefits of nature study both for the intellectual and spiritual education of a child.
With this knowledge, The Tracker has this quote on its cover:
“If you track fast enough, you eventually reach the end and find a set of prints with the animal’s feet still in them.” Tom Brown Jr, Nature Observation and Tracking
Design #3: The Traveler
Charlotte Mason encouraged the practice of finding places mentioned in books on the map for geography lessons.
With this knowledge, The Traveler has the seven continents and five oceans, along with this quote on its cover:
"Reading can take you places you have never been." Dr. Seuss

The Subject sections includes the Charlotte Mason subjects suggested for each form.
The Weekly section guides you in how to plan all of the Charlotte Mason subjects into FOCUSED subjects so that they fit the suggested hours of lessons for each form.
Each Form has guided quotes for each subject unique to that form along with "suggested time-tables" to assist you in planning short lessons tailored to the age and skills of your children.

Watching you being consistent in using the Grade Notebook™ to see what lessons should be used for the day and marking them off when completed will build a natural desire to take ownership of it themselves.
Once a child is a reader, they will take ownership of their education while you evaluate the assignments are being done and the completed work is done to the best of the abilities.
A Grade Notebook™ includes: Matching influential notebook, dividers, and bookmarks, plus the planning pack best fitting your child's age and skills.
You just add the lesson assignments you select for your unique child's needs into the Form Planning Pack to complete their Grade Notebook™.
